Signs, Signs, everywhere Signs! Some of the best deals we have done in Real Estate have come from Bandit Signs. Yes, they really do work. The motivation level of someone calling is usually pretty high. Or they are just curious about the ‘we buy houses’ company that put it up. It could be your local county calling you to let you know you should not have put that sign out! Ooops! That is why they are referred to as bandit signs after all.
So what is a Bandit Sign?
Typically it is a white or yellow corrugated plastic sign that reads “We Buy Houses” with a Phone number on it. They can be pre-printed or handwritten. Which is better? Well, that depends. If we are going to put out bandit signs we will typically look at the competition in the area…and do the opposite. So if you see a ton of Printed signs take the time to Handwrite yours, or vice versa.
Where do you post your Bandit signs?
Busy intersections are good as they get the most visibility, they also tend to get taken down the fastest by competitors and code enforcement or local police. Placing signs in less busy intersections surrounding busy areas may be slightly less visible but may allow them to stay in place longer. You can place them on wooden light poles with nails or staples or buy the metal posts and place them in the ground.
